Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) has invited application for direct recruitment to various posts. There are total of 275 vacancies which include the posts such as Assistant Director, Technical Officer, Central food safety officer, administrative officer, etc. candidates who are interested and are eligible can apply to these posts on or before 25/04/2019.

Educational qualification:

Assistant director

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university along with six years of work experience in administration, finance, Human Resource Development.

Preferable: MBA degree

Or

  • Candidates should possess law degree from recognized university along with three years of work experience in handling legal matters or as a law officer.

Assistant Director (Technical)

  • Candidates should posses master’s degree from recognized university in chemistry or biochemistry or food technology or food science and technology or food and nutrition or edible oil technology or microbiology or diary technology or agricultural or horticultural science or industrial microbiology or toxicology or public health or life science or biotechnology or fruit and vegetable technology or food safety and quality assurance.

Or

  • Candidates should posses PG diploma from recognized university in chemistry or biochemistry or food technology or food science and technology or food and nutrition or edible oil technology or microbiology or diary technology or agricultural or horticultural science or industrial microbiology or toxicology or public health or life science or biotechnology or fruit and vegetable technology or food safety and quality assurance.

Or

  • Candidates should posses B.E/B.Tech in food technology or diary technology or biotechnology oil technology or food process engineering or food processing technology or fruit and vegetable technology or food safety and quality assurance.

Technical Officer

Hindi Translator

  • Candidates should possess master’s degree from recognized university in Hindi with English as an elective subject.

Personal Assistant

  • Candidates should possess bachelor’s degree from recognized university with proficiency in shorthand and typing.

Assistant Manager (IT)

  • Candidates should posses B.E/B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science from recognized university or institution with three years of experience.

Deputy Manager

  • Candidates should posses PG diploma from recognized university in journalism or mass communication or public relation or MBA in Marketing.*
  • Candidates should posses PG diploma from recognized university in social work or psychology or labour or social welfare.*

*with six years of work experience.

Assistant Manager

  • Candidates should posses PG diploma from recognized university in journalism or mass communication or public relation or MBA in Marketing.*
  • Candidates should posses PG diploma from recognized university in social work or psychology or labour or social welfare.*
  • Candidates should possess bachelor’s degree from recognized university in library sciences or library or information science.*

*with two years of work experience.

Selection Process:

The selection procedure comprises of three stages:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT)*
  2. Written Examination
  3. Interview

*There will be negative marks for each wrong answer. ¼ of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted.

Application Fees:

For General, EWS and OBC – Rs.1000/-

For SC, ST, Women, Ex-Servicemen and PwBD  – Rs.250/-
