INDIAN NAVY RECRUITMENT 2019 – FOR UNMARRIED MEN AND WOMEN

Indian navy is heading to recruit unmarried men and women for several posts in Pilot and Observer Specialization Branch and Education Branch as a short term service commission officer and unmarried men in Logistic Cadre as permanent commission officers.

Vacancies (For both men and women):

Observer – 06 vacancies

  • Educational qualification: BE/B.Tech Degree in any discipline (with physics and mathematics in 12th standard)

Pilot (MR) – 06 vacancies

  • Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech Degree in any discipline (with physics and mathematics in 12th standard)

Education Branch – 24 vacancies

  • M.Sc (Physics / Applied Physics / Nuclear Physics) with Mathematics in B.Sc – 03 vacancies
  • M.Sc (Mathematics / Operational Research) with Physics in B.Sc – 06 vacancies
  • M.Sc (Chemistry) with Physics in B.Sc – 02 vacancies

Pilot (Other than MR) – 05 vacancies

  • Educational qualification: BE/B.Tech Degree in any discipline (with physics and mathematics in 12th standard)

Logistics – 15 vacancies

Educational qualification:

  • BE/B.Tech Degree in any discipline with First Class or
  • MBA with first class or
  • B.Sc / B.com / B.Sc (IT) with first class and PG Diploma in Finance / Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Material Management or
  • MCA / M.Sc (IT) with first class

Age limit:

  • Observer – should be born between 02 January 1996 and 01 January 2001 (both dates are inclusive)
  • Pilot – should be born between 02 January 1996 and 01 January 2001 (both dates are inclusive)  
  • Pilot (Other than MR) – should be born between 02 January 1996 and 01 January 2001 (both dates are inclusive)
  • Logistics – should be born between 02 January 1995 and 01 July 2000 (both dates are inclusive)
  • Education – should be born between 02 January 1995 and 01 January 1999 (both dates are inclusive)

Selection Procedure:

  • The selection process will be based on SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates.
  • The total duration of SSB interview will be of five days

Stage 1: One day

Stage 2: Four days

  • Stage 1 test comprises of Intelligence test, picture perception and group discussion tests.
  • Stage 2 test comprises of psychological tests, group tests, group task tests and interview. Selected candidates will undergo medical examination (for approximately 3 – 5 days)

Candidates applying for pilot entry are required to undergo PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery Test) followed by Aviation Medical Examination.

Candidates applying for Observer branch will have to undergo Aviation Medical Examination.

Training phase:

Pilot entry: Candidates who have got selected for Pilot branch will have to undergo 22 weeks of Naval Orientation Course (NOC) at INA, Ezhimala, Kerala followed by stage 1 and stage 2 flying training at air force or Naval. On successful completion, candidates will be awarded wings after which they are entitled to fly pay and allowances.

Observer Entry: Candidates who have got selected for observer entry will have to undergo 22 weeks of Naval Orientation Course (NOC) at INA, Ezhimala, Kerala. On successful completion, they will have to undergo SLT(X) Tech course followed by ab-initio training at Observer school. On successful completion of training at observer school, the candidates are awarded as Observer wings after which they are entitled to fly pay and allowances.

Logistics or Education Entries: Candidates will have to undergo 22 weeks of Naval Orientation Course (NOC) at INA, Ezhimala, Kerala followed by professional training at Air force academy and at various naval training units or establishments or ships.
